Adding Issuu or ScribD account with DocSync

Using the new DocSync plugin has several advantages over the old Issuu and ScribD helper plugins.

First, you can easily sync stacks and folders, display issues based on tags and other meta properties.

We can also easily embed with an in-page player any ScribD document, or any Issuu document on a Pro account (unfortunately, free Issuu accounts don't have the ability to generate automatic embed codes but you can still get them manually from the Issuu site).

Note: This is a one-time setup.

Jump to ScribD instructions.

Adding Issuu

First, log into your Issuu account. Then hover over your user picture in the top right corner and select "Account Settings":

Then select "API" from the navigation bar:

To generate keys, click the green "Generate API Key" button and give your keyset a name.

In a new tab, log into Gryphon, select "DocSync" from the plugin menu, then click "New Account".

Give your account a name and select "Issuu" as the Account Type.

Back in your Issuu tab, you should have some API keys:

Select the "API key" and paste that into the "Public API Key" box in Gryphon, and copy the "API secret" and paste that into the "Private API Key" box:

Save the new account and your documents should start syncing. Contact us to have the documents appear on a specific part of your site.
